How Nonesuch Turned a Data Jungle into a Clean Dashboard of Actionable Insights
Lemongrass is one of the largest dedicated, credentialed SAP on Cloud providers in the world. Its technology keeps organizations like consumer goods companies, the London public transit system, and the Australian energy grid running.

THE SOLUTION
THE OUTCOME
The Challenge:
Drawing fast insights from vast data
Large, complex systems made it hard for Lemongrass to make fast, data-driven decisions.
“They had the data, but pulling it into a clear picture was very time-consuming,” Nonesuch founder Rob Lingle explained. “And one manager might do things very differently from another. To grow, they needed a consistent, reliable way of working. So we came in to help them realize that vision.”
The Solution:
An operational dashboard that puts data at users’ fingertips
Customer service managers needed an up-to-date data dashboard to tell them at a glance where to focus their attention for the day.
They also needed to be confident data systems would keep running in their off hours. They had more important things to think about than whether data issues were falling through the cracks.
The Lemongrass team had built impressive systems to manage data collection and storage. Our job was to harness the power of those systems to build an operational dashboard.
The dashboard would pull from Lemongrass’s vast data stores and put the information users needed right at their fingertips.
“The data they’re handling is very sensitive, so we had to be very cautious about security,” Rob said. “We had to pull data out in secure ways so no one could accidentally gain access to something they shouldn’t see.”
To understand the project, Nonesuch talked to people throughout the company. We interviewed the people directly managing customer accounts and the people managing the data pipeline.
As we identified objectives and key results, we collaborated with Lemongrass’s amazing internal team to brainstorm a streamlined path to its goals.
The Outcome:
Streamlined workflows and improved scalability
In just seven weeks, Nonesuch had developed a dashboard prototype for Lemongrass to review. The completed data dashboard was ready to launch six months after we went into production.
The tool Nonesuch developed distills Lemongrass's big data into a useful dashboard. Managers can dive deeper into any of the metrics for further breakdowns. An early warning system alerts teams if an issue develops.
The app also provides a customer-facing dashboard. Now customers can view their usage of Lemongrass tools – while the company’s internal data remains secure.
Moving forward, Nonesuch gave Lemongrass the tools to continue adding its own custom features. With an accessible, accurate, and scalable system, there’s no limit to where the company can go next.
